Virus claims lives of 4 Corona warriors in Ganjam

Bhubaneswar: The number of Covid-19 positive cases in Odisha is registering a steady increase by the day. There are 9526 reported cases as of now and the death toll has touched 38.

Ganjam has turned out to be the worst affected district in the state. On Monday, four frontline Corona warriors of Ganjam district lost their lives to the virus.

Ganjam District Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange tweeted today that the entire district administration was  with the families of the deceased workers. He expressed his deepest sympathies towards the bereaved family members and said that the dedication of the four deceased Corona warriors towards their duty would set an example for their peers in the district.

Kulange also requested the district residents to follow the social distancing norms to help the administration fight against the virus.

The four persons who succumbed to the virus on Monday have been identified as Bharati Swain, Simanchala Satpathy, P Suresh Kumar and Sudhartha Shankar Padhy.
