Weather Update: Parts of Delhi saw heavy rain on Wednesday, despite the India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) forecast that light to moderate rainfall would be expected in the nation’s capital through July 13.

On July 11, a yellow alert was issued for Thursday. Lightning, thunderstorms, and mild to moderate rainfall were all anticipated by the IMD.

In the meantime, the IMD forecasted significant rainfall in East Uttar Pradesh on July 10 and 11, as well as in certain areas of Maharashtra on July 12 and 14.

“Extremely heavy rainfall is likely to hit Northeast and adjoining East India during the next two days,” the weather department stated in a briefing on Wednesday.

It forecasted five days of intense rain in East Uttar Pradesh. On July 10 and 11, extremely heavy rains is also expected to lash Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Meghalaya, and Bihar.
