Weather Update: Parts of Delhi saw heavy rain on Wednesday, despite the India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) forecast that light to moderate rainfall would be expected in the nation’s capital through July 13.
On July 11, a yellow alert was issued for Thursday. Lightning, thunderstorms, and mild to moderate rainfall were all anticipated by the IMD.
In the meantime, the IMD forecasted significant rainfall in East Uttar Pradesh on July 10 and 11, as well as in certain areas of Maharashtra on July 12 and 14.

The IMD forecasted a “generally cloudy sky with intermittent moderate spells of rain” for Mumbai’s city and suburbs. The high and low points will be approximately 32°C and 25°C, respectively.
The IMD predicted that there would probably be significant rainfall over Northeast and adjacent East India for the following two days, including some hefty falls. But after that, the rainfall’s intensity will lessen.
It forecasted five days of intense rain in East Uttar Pradesh. On July 10 and 11, extremely heavy rains is also expected to lash Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Meghalaya, and Bihar.
