Lucknow: As part of its Mission Rozgar initiative, the Yogi government will organize major Rozgar Melas on August 17 in Ambedkar Nagar and August 18 in Ayodhya, led by the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission.
Over 150 renowned companies will participate, offering more than 70,000 employment opportunities. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate the Rozgar Mela.
The Rozgar Mela is being organized under the aegis of the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission, State Industrial Training Institute, Directorate of Training and Employment Scheme, and the MSME Department. The employment fairs will be held from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. In addition to students trained by the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission and ITI, other general students will also have the opportunity to participate.
Kapil Dev Agarwal, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Vocational Education, Skill Development, and Entrepreneurship, highlighted that the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission organizes various activities to employ trainees after training.
“In this context, the Rozgar Mela is being organized. This large-scale employment fair will take place at Acharya Narendra Dev Agricultural University, Kumarganj, Ayodhya. Over 100 renowned companies will be present, offering more than 50,000 employment opportunities. Participating companies include Accenture, Adani, Bajaj Auto, Chamber of Indian MSME, Flipkart, Honda, Lava International Ltd., Myntra, Nokia, Case Corp, Suzuki Motors, Swiggy, and Tata Motors.”
On August 17, a Rozgar Mela will take place at the Dev Indravati Mahavidyalaya Campus in Katehari, Ambedkar Nagar. At this employment fair, 46 reputed companies will be present, offering over 21,000 job vacancies.
Participating companies will include Barbaric Nation, Chamber of Indian MSME, Flipkart, Lava International, Oreo Biscuits, and Case Corp. The Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission is jointly organizing this event, with Government ITI Ambedkar Nagar, and the District Employment and Deputy Commissioner Industries Department of Ambedkar Nagar. Interested candidates are encouraged to take full advantage of this opportunity by attending the fair with their biodata and educational documents.
The Yogi government is actively encouraging youth to seek employment opportunities in the private sector alongside government jobs. To support this, various skill development programs are being implemented. The government aims to secure a significant number of private sector jobs for youth through these ‘rozgar melas’ in 2024.
As a result of the efforts of the Yogi government, in seven and a half years, more than six and a half lakh youth have been successful in securing government jobs, while more than 3.75 lakh youth have been employed through contract. At the same time, employment has been provided to two crore people under the private sector / MSME.
