According to reports, Prince Harry’s connections in the UK are strained as a result of the Home Office lowering his protection. His pals in Britain would like to visit him more often. But he has to give the authorities notice 28 days in advance of his trip. He only makes significant appearances or scheduled public appearances as a result.
Harry’s uncle, Lord Robert Fellowes, died on August 5 at the age of 82. He was wed to Jane Fellowes, the elder sister of Princess Diana. From 1990 until 1999, Fellowes was the private secretary to Queen Elizabeth.
According to a source who spoke with OK! Magazine, it is unlikely that the Duke of Sussex will be able to make it to his uncle Robert Fellowes’ burial next week because of certain limitations. Before any trip, Harry’s staff needs to notify the Home Office about a month in advance so that the proper security measures may be taken.
“As Harry didn’t want to travel to the UK this summer, it can be quite challenging to handle last-minute events like funerals. The insider stated that although Harry would like to spend more time in Britain, the continuous security concerns make it a logistical nightmare for his crew.
Twice now, Prince Harry has broken precedent, which has generated some controversy. In September 2022, he went to his grandmother’s extremely private funeral. Following the announcement of King Charles’s cancer diagnosis, he also went back to the UK.
Relationship tensions between Prince Harry and his close family members have resulted from persistent safety concerns, an insider told the publication. Although Harry has visited the UK previously, he has always been worried by security worries.
“There have been times when Harry couldn’t attend events that he was invited to. It’s a shame because family members love him dearly and he still has several close friends in the UK,” the insider said.
Is there going to be an exclusion?
A UK Government spokesperson emphasizes that their security procedures are comprehensive and well-balanced in response to a question about whether exceptions might be granted for urgent circumstances, such as a family burial.
The representative points out that it’s customary to withhold specifics regarding these actions. The statement continued, “Revealing such details could undermine their effectiveness and put people at risk.” Additionally, they declined to talk about such things as active legal cases.
