As per the new rules, the following changes will occur from August 1. Users will have to replace their 5-year-old FASTags. Your KYC must be updated by October 31. KYC must be updated for FASTags issued 3 years ago.
New vehicles must be registered with an updated FASTag within 90 days of purchase. In the case of linking vehicles, the registration number and chassis number must be mandatorily linked to the FASTag. Apart from these rules, the revised regulations also make it mandatory to verify the database, upload clear photos of the car’s front side, and link FASTag to a mobile number.
