Filmmaker Vijay Shekhar Gupta has decided to make a film on the life of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The name of the film will be 'Suicide or Murder'.

Bollywood star Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide on the afternoon of 14 June. His untimely death left the entire nation in shock.

Alleging that the film industry has become a monopoly of big stars and production houses, the film maker said in an interview to Nav Bharat Times about the purpose of his film would be to unmask the vested interests. “Through this film,” he said, "I want to expose the truth of the Bollywood."

Today, as most industry insiders say no candidate from outside the film industry, howsoever talented he or she might be, can succeed in getting a foothold in the industry.  They are deprived of an opportunity to prove their talent simply because they don’t belong to the film fraternity.

A strong lobby running the industry by proxy pulls strings from behind the curtains to ensure that nobody from outside the industry survives in the business.  Vijay vowed to make all efforts to break the nexus which deprives the industry promising young talent.

“My story will contain everything that has gone wrong with Sushant, the boy who was forced to commit suicide. Bullied, boycotted and dissocialised even after several successive back-to-back hits, he was left with no option but to make a hasty retreat.

It has come to light the promising actor was fired from many new projects without assigning any reason. The credit for this goes to the aforesaid lobby works overtime to protect the vested interests to ensure that the star kid face no challenge even if it means to eliminate budding and established actors. As a result, many gifted actors and actresses fail to see the light of the day and the industry is deprived of their contribution.

Sushant has left behind him many an unsolved mystery about his death. Many fear he might have taken the extreme step due to emotional torture he was subjected to. However, physical attack on him is not ruled out.

Sushant Singh Rajput was barely 34 years old when he died at the peak of his career. The bubbly energetic youth left an indelible mark on the film industry in a short span of time. His death left a void in the film industry. The nation has not come to terms with his exit.

From a TV serial to big banner Bollywood flicks, his career picked up fast. Apart from his fans, the film industry, as also the nation, is in deep shock. There was no reason for him to commit suicide at the peak of his career.

Sushant’s death at his Bandra residence triggered a debate over nepotism and favoritism on social media. Reports about Bollywood veterans allegedly denying Sushant work and removing him from films started surfacing and a case was also reported about the same.

Now, a film based on the life of Sushant Singh Rajput is welcome as it would unravel the mystery behind the untimely exit of a promising actor.
